Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist CPO, PC

My client is seeking a full-time Certified prosthetic & Orthotist, (CPO, CP, or CO) to join the team either South NH or MA offices. They have a supportive team with an on-site fabrication, cooperative support, and mentoring. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5 PM, No weekends

 

Job Description:

• Evaluate and interview patients to determine their needs

• Measure patients in order to design and fit medical devices

• Design orthopedic and prosthetic devices based on physicians' prescriptions

• Take a mold of the part of a patient’s body that will be fitted with a brace or artificial limb

• Select materials to be used for the orthotic or prosthetic device

• Fit, test, and adjust devices on patients

• Instruct patients on how to use and care for their devices

• Repair or update prosthetic and orthotic devices

• Document care in patients' records and co-sign for junior practitioners

• Oversee other practitioners ensure good workflow

• Work with Prosthetic Team: Lab, Coordinator, and Prosthetic Assistant

• Ensuring patient satisfaction and follow up

• Take On-Call as applicable

• Willing to travel to all offices and contracted facilities throughout CT

Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Orthotics/Prosthetics from CAAHEP or NCOPE accredited program or B.S. in any major, plus an Orthotic and/or prosthetic certification from a CAAHEP or NCOPE accredited program.
