Reports to: Director, Claims Vendor Solutions
SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Director, Claims Vendor Solutions, the Receptionist will provide
invaluable support to the clients by performing a variety of administrative and customer service tasks.
Responsibilities:

Answers incoming telephone calls in a cheerful and helpful way, determines purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate staff or department.

Retrieves voice mail messages left in Company mailbox during evening hours and forwards to appropriate personnel

Greets on-site visitors, determines approved nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate employee

Maintains monthly additions and deletions of company telephone report
-
Coordinates time off with back-up reception coverage employees

Types and mails legal notices of cancellation and non-renewals from information supplied by Underwriters.

Performs a variety of administrative duties

Keeps reception/lobby area free of clutter and debris

Utilizes programs to verify pertinent information on mail and documents

Handles claims subrogation and salvage check processing

Ad hoc projects as needed
Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree preferred

Possess a professional demeanor

Skilled and efficient communicator

Understanding of insurance terminology

Detail oriented and to providing a quality work product

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Possess strong time management and organizational skills

High attention to detail

Proficient in Word, Excel & Outlook
